Abby is being fostered as a “Dispatch Dog” from our Animal Shelter. Abby will be coming to work with her foster mom until she finds a permanent adoptive family.

Here’s what we know about Abby, she is 7yrs old, fixed, current on shots, housebroken, and she also loves car rides, understands simple commands, very gentle personality, and loves belly rubs! She is stubby chubby little thing and should enjoy her upcoming grooming session!

The goal of Abby in our center mirrors having a therapy dog but, takes it one step further. This program allows us the unique opportunity to network with our shelter and increase adoptions. It helps promote awareness for the community to spay and neuter their pets, increases the communities interest in animal adoption, and allows employees some reprieve from the stress and demands of public safety work.

I think this is a wonderful thing for the dog and for people in stressful situations. It will also cause peple to be more aware of adopting from a local shelter. A win, win situation.

A great idea as Briken Arrow has some great dogs. Having fostered several that have ended up in great homes people have truly appreciated their new family member.
